Very old with the consensus being that it was likely made in the late 20's or early 30's (likely even earlier) - due to the areas of crude construction of some of the pot metal parts and the tough financial times that we had in the country then.
No markings that I can see.
This wonderful, old pin is about 3 5/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches.
No safety catch for the pin back - only the "c" part (which also dates this piece as very old) so it doesn't stay closed very well.
Blue rhinestones with gold or brassy color foil backs are in pretty good shape and are about 1/4 inch across, but the center, clear one looks dirty underneath so I wonder if that stone came loose and was re-glued which damaged the foil backing.
It is about 3/8 inch across
I see no maker's mark anywhere, but this a solid, vintage brooch.
I see a wear to this and a very slight bend to the pin bar which is to be expected of vintage jewelry that is this well loved and worn and almost 100 years old.
*Please check to make sure the stones, prongs... are very secure and then have the pieces of vintage jewelry gently cleaned by a jeweler or collector who understands vintage jewelry.
*All items are "as is" and there are no returns so please read the descriptions and see the photo before you buy.
