Pretty, classic 2" by 2 1/2" filigree locket adorned with a faux amber topaz root bear colored faceted stone.
It would be wonderful to hold a treasured photo, lock of hair or other keepsake memento.
It would also be a great piece of perfume jewelry.
"Victorian Locket Necklace" by Avon from 1975 - this necklace was made to look like an antique lady's pocket watch.
So decorative with the openwork, textured coils, roping around the stone, beaded details and polished areas of this goldtone locket.
The unusual chain has "light bulb" shaped links where each tail is folded over, grabbing onto the next link.
It is about 30" (when clasped) long.
Spring C clasp.
Shown on Page 130 of "Identifying Avon Jewelry" by Sandra Sturdivant.
I see a small amount of wear from use as is expected of vintage jewelry.
Signed "AVONĀ©" inside.
