Sarah Coventry 1956 - Golden Maple - brooch/pin and clip earring set in goldtone.
The lightweight (aluminum ?) brooch is about 2 1/8 inches by 2"
They look layered, but they seem to each be a single leaf form that has been pieced and them stamped/formed into the 3D shape.
The matching clip earrings are about 1 3/8" by 1 1/2"
Signed with the early mark used by Sarah Coventry "SAC" in a diamond on the back of the earrings and just the letters on the back of the pin.
I see very little wear to this set, but it is vintage jewelry so it may not be perfect.
This is known as a "book piece" as it is featured in Kay Oshel's second book - Sarah Coventry Jewelry -
*The 1956 Cardex Cards had this to say about this set: "Golden Maple, delicately designed, expertly crafted, let it add it's golden splash to your new Fall suit. It's touch is good with tailored or afternoon casuals, handsome with furs and suedes, best with tweeds and flannels."
*Please check to make sure the clips and the pinback... are very secure and then have the pieces of vintage jewelry gently cleaned by a jeweler or collector who understands vintage jewelry.
*All items are "as is" and there are no returns so please read the descriptions and see the photos before you buy.
